Beverly Chester Burton was born in Louisiana. She received her BBA from Southern University A&M College in 1972, and her JD from Southern University Law Center in 1975. Ms. Burton was in private practice as an attorney from 1975 to 2015. She served as an Assistant District Attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish from 1987 to 1992. From 1992 to 1996, she was a Judge in Baton Rouge City Court.read less
