Shane Baker is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives representing District 85, which includes parts of Laurel and Pulaski counties. A resident of Somerset, Kentucky, for nearly 30 years after growing up in Nancy, he serves as an insurance agent with Transamerica and is a Christian and Kentucky Colonel. He was first sworn into office on January 1, 2021, following his unopposed general election win in 2020 after securing the Republican primary.
