Biography
Chad R. Aull is a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 79 since January 2023. Raised on his family's farm in Western Kentucky, where they raised cows, horses, and pigs, he graduated from Daviess County High School, active in Student Council and FFA. Aull lives in Lexington with his wife Marisa, daughter Isabella, and son William. He is Catholic and currently works as a Financial Advisor at Edwards Jones. Notable community involvement includes serving as former treasurer of Morton Middle School PTSA, president of Lansdowne Neighborhood Association, former board member of Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center, and current member of MADD Kentucky Advisory Board and Cassidy Elementary PTSA. As a freshman legislator, he serves as Freshman House Democratic Caucus Chair and sits on committees including Agriculture, Banking & Insurance, Tourism, State Government, and Budget Review Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Protection, Tourism, and Energy.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education from Western Kentucky University . Active in College Democrats and FFA .
- Political Experience: Post-college, held state government roles including Deputy Chief of Staff to State Treasurer Jonathan Miller, Director of Constituent Services for Governor Steve Beshear, and Special Assistant to Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson. Worked in IT for over a decade, including Disaster Recovery Coordinator and IT Escalation Manager for kynect , and UK Healthcare EHR Program Lead in Revenue Cycle. Elected in 2022 without Republican opposition, winning 86.9% in the primary; reelected in 2024.
