Biography
Lindsey Thomas Burke is a Democrat representing Kentucky's 75th House District in the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 1, 2023. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, she serves as House Minority Caucus Chair and previously as minority whip from 2024 to 2025. Notable achievements include founding the nonprofit civil law firm Micah Legal, receiving the 2025 Alumni Achievement Award from University of Cincinnati College of Law graduates, the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division award for community service, and the Fayette County Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer award in 2023. She holds the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel and is an Elder at her church. Burke is vocal on reproductive rights, filing legislation to repeal Kentucky's near-total abortion ban, protect interstate reproductive care, and expand postpartum mental health services. She serves on committees including Judiciary, Health Services, Rules, Natural Resources & Energy, and Legislative Oversight & Investigations.
