Allen Kwabena Buansi was born in Cape Coast, Ghana. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 and graduated from Rutgers University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Buansi has previously worked for Hackensack Meridian Health as a registered nurse and is also part owner of a home health agency.
