- 2 members appointed by the Governor.
- 1 member appointed by AllPaths Family Building (who has endometriosis or a close family member with endometriosis).
- 1 member appointed by the Center for Endometriosis Care of Mount Auburn Hospital.
- 1 member appointed by the Endometriosis Summit (who has endometriosis or a close family member with endometriosis).
- 3 members appointed by the Massachusetts Medical Society (including at least 1 obstetrician/gynecologist and at least 1 expert in desmoid tumors).
- 1 member appointed by the New England Fertility Society.
- The Senate President and the Speaker of the House shall designate co-chairs from among their appointees.

Duties and activities

  • Investigate and raise awareness about endometriosis.
  • Improve the care of individuals with endometriosis.
  • Assess research availability and provider education; assist in creating educational materials and programs.
  • Help pursue federal funding for related efforts.
