Every Nevadan must be treated equally in all governing processes, including redistricting.

Every Nevadan deserves equal treatment in government, including redistricting. Currently, the two major parties draw maps to favor their voters, harming everyone outside those ranks. This petition seeks an amendment to the Nevada Constitution to ensure equal treatment in all governing processes, including redistricting. Nevada

Every Nevadan must be treated equally in all aspects of government, including in redistricting, regardless of political party affiliation. 

Currently, the two major political parties draw the maps that determine representation in government.  Depending on which party has the majority in our legislature, that party can draw maps that only favor their own voters.

This then disadvantages everyone not registered with that private political organization.

The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that every person must be treated equally under the law.  This proposal would put an amendment in the Nevada Constitution that also establishes that every person must be treated equally in all governing processes, including in redistricting.
