Biography

Wren M. Williams

Wren Montgomery Williams is a Republican delegate representing Virginia's 47th House District, which encompasses Carroll, Floyd, Henry , and Patrick counties, as well as the City of Galax. He was born on January 12, 1989, in Christiansburg, Virginia, and currently resides in Stuart, Virginia, with his wife, Brittany Schneider Williams, and two children.

Williams is an accomplished professional with experience as an attorney and businessman. He is the co-owner of Schneider & Williams Law Firm and has been involved in several successful business ventures in Southwest and Southside Virginia, including Ten Oaks Flooring. He holds the distinction of being an Eagle Scout and is actively involved in his community through memberships on the boards of Patrick Henry Community College and the Patrick Henry Education Foundation.

Education

Williams earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College in 2011 and completed both his Master of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from Samford University in Alabama in 2014. He attended Patrick County High School for his secondary education.

Political Experience

Williams assumed office in the Virginia House of Delegates on January 10, 2024, representing the 47th district. Prior to this, he served in the House of Delegates beginning in 2022, initially representing the 9th district until redistricting. During the 2022 session, he served on the Courts of Justice, Privileges and Elections, and Public Safety committees. In his current role, he serves on the Courts of Justice, Labor and Commerce, and Transportation committees.

Before his election as delegate, Williams served as chairman of the Patrick County Republican Committee, where he increased membership, raised funds, and successfully flipped both the board of supervisors and school board to Republican control. This work earned the Republican Party of Virginia's "Unit of the Year" award. During the 2020 election cycle, he worked with the Republican National Committee to advance election integrity efforts in court proceedings.
