Biography
William M. Valentine is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 2A . He was elected in November 2022 after winning the Republican primary and facing no general election opposition; he assumed office on January 11, 2023. A retired police lieutenant with over 25 years in law enforcement, Valentine previously ran unsuccessfully for Frederick County Council in 2018 and worked as an investigator for the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office . His platform emphasizes limited government, support for law enforcement, tax limits, natural resource preservation, Second Amendment rights, and tougher sentences for violent crimes and handgun violations.
