Will Wheeler

William W. Wheeler III was born on May 11, 1974, in Sumter, South Carolina. He is an American politician and attorney who served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives representing the 50th District from 2016 to 2025. Wheeler is a member of the Democratic Party. The 50th District encompasses parts of Lee, Sumter, and Kershaw counties.

Education

Wheeler earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of South Carolina, establishing his foundation for legal practice.

Political Experience

Wheeler served in the South Carolina House of Representatives for approximately nine years, representing the 50th District. He was elected in 2016 and initially succeeded Grady Brown in the position. During his tenure, he sponsored various bills in the House and maintained an active voting record. Wheeler's service concluded in January 2025 when he resigned from office.
