Representative Will Tuell

William R. Tuell is a Republican state representative from East Machias, Maine, currently serving House District 10. He is a journalist with a background in public relations who has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. Tuell serves on the Arise Addiction Recovery Board of Directors and has worked as a substitute teacher in Machias area schools. He is single and maintains his residence in East Machias.

Education

Tuell holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Maine at Machias, where he was recognized as the 2017 Young Alumni Award winner. He is also a graduate of Washington Academy.

Political Experience

Tuell is serving his fifth non-consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives. He first served from 2015 to 2022, stepping away from the legislature before being elected again in November 2024. In his current role, he serves on the State and Local Government Committee, which oversees state government operations, county government matters, and municipal and local governance issues including planning, land use, and administrative procedures.
