Biography
Will Snyder is a Democratic State Representative for Michigan's 87th House District, serving 91,376 constituents in parts of Muskegon County, including Muskegon, Norton Shores, Muskegon Heights, Roosevelt Park, North Muskegon, Muskegon Township, Laketon Township, and most of Dalton Township. A lifelong resident of Muskegon born on February 8, 1993, he is single and Catholic, residing in the Glenside Neighborhood. Snyder prioritizes workforce development, economic growth, infrastructure, and healthcare access, securing over $120 million for Muskegon County projects in his first term and sponsoring seven bills that became law.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Mona Shores High School and Muskegon Community College.
Political Experience: Elected in 2022 and re-elected on November 5, 2024, Snyder began his first term on January 11, 2023, and his second term on January 2, 2025, now in his second term as of 2026. Before serving as a legislator, he worked as Legislative Aide and District Director for State Rep. Terry J. Sabo and was active in UFCW Local 951 union. He serves on the Appropriations Committee and subcommittees including General Government, Michigan State Police , Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Insurance and Financial Services, Labor and Economic Opportunity, Health and Human Services, Natural Resources, and Corrections; previously chaired the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Economic Development, and Lifelong Learning. Community involvement includes the Board of Directors for Read Muskegon and presidency of the Knights of Columbus Dan M. Kennedy Council #706 Building Association.
