Biography
E. Werner Reschke is a Republican politician and former businessman serving as the state representative for Oregon House District 55, known as the Crater Lake District. This district encompasses southern Deschutes County and northern and eastern Klamath County . A lifelong Oregonian and former business owner in Klamath County specializing in online marketing, Reschke is currently Assistant Leader for the House Republican Caucus. Notable achievements include vice-chairing the House Revenue Committee, membership on the Joint Ways & Means Committee, successfully sponsoring HB 4111 for property tax clarity for farmers, leading efforts to recriminalize hard drugs via HB 4002 to repeal Measure 110, sponsoring SCR 3 designating the potato as Oregon's official state vegetable, and introducing HJR 19 for parental rights in education. He advocates for limited government, lower taxes, Second Amendment rights, parental authority, school choice, protecting girls' sports, law enforcement, and voter ID.
