Biography
Representative Wendy Horman
Wendy Horman is a Republican politician who served in the Idaho House of Representatives representing District 32B. She first entered the Idaho House in 2012, initially representing District 30B before redistricting placed her in District 32. A resident of Ammon, Idaho, Horman has long been involved in local education and community affairs. She is married to Briggs Horman, with whom she has five children and several grandchildren and they own a small business in Ammon.
Horman announced in December 2025 that she would resign her legislative seat effective January 5, 2026, to join the United States Department of Health and Human Services as director of the Office of Child Care in the Administration for Children and Families. This move marked the end of her 13‑year tenure in the Idaho House, though she remains a prominent figure in Idaho’s policy history.
Education
Wendy Horman holds an Associate of Science degree from Dixie State College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brigham Young University–Idaho. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints.
