Biography
Wayne Rosenthal is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 108th District, which covers all of Menard County and portions of Sangamon, Christian, Macoupin, and Montgomery Counties. A family farmer, retired Brigadier General in the Illinois Air National Guard and United States Air Force, and former leader on the IL Corn Marketing Board, he emphasizes service, agriculture, and rural Illinois traditions. He first served in the House from 2011 to 2015, then as Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources from 2015 to 2019, and returned in January 2023 after winning the 2022 election unopposed.
Notable achievements include his military retirement as a pilot, leadership in natural resources management, and role as past President and Trustee on the Lincoln Land Community College Board of Trustees.
