Wayne Langerholc Jr. is a Republican state senator representing Pennsylvania's 35th Senate District, which includes all of Cambria and Clearfield Counties and the western portion of Centre County. First elected in November 2016, he is currently serving his third term as Senate Majority Whip, assisting in floor leadership and advancing Republican policies. A lifelong resident of Richland Township in Cambria County, he lives with his wife, Cortney, and their three daughters. Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Transportation Committee, where he led efforts to block PennDOT tolls on interstate bridges and secured budget increases for infrastructure; sponsoring laws for a statewide rape kit tracking system, transit crime measures, and direct farm deliveries; and maintaining a focus on public safety, opioid crisis response, and protecting crime victims from his prosecutorial background.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Richland High School, Juniata College, and Widener University Commonwealth Law School.
• Political Experience: Served as a Cambria County Assistant District Attorney, leading the Drug Task Force with a 100% felony conviction rate; worked as an attorney in private practice; and acted as Richland Township Supervisor. In the Senate, he has chaired the Education and Transportation Committees, vice-chaired Judiciary and Rules and Executive Nominations, and serves on Appropriations, Aging and Youth , Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness, and others. Appointed to the Commission on Sentencing in 2019.
