Wayne A. Johnson is a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 41A in the eastern Twin Cities metropolitan area, including Cottage Grove and Lake Elmo in Washington County. A long-time Cottage Grove resident and business owner, he has operated two HVAC companies for over two decades. He is married to MaryBeth and has two children. Johnson began his political career locally, serving on the Cottage Grove City Council from 2016 for two years and as a Washington County Commissioner from 2018 for four years. He also served on the Cottage Grove Planning Commission. Elected to the House in 2024, he assumed office on January 14, 2025, succeeding Mark Wiens, and is currently in his first term.
