Wayne P. DeAngelo is a Democratic Assembly Member representing District 14 in the New Jersey General Assembly. He is currently serving his ninth term, first elected in 2007, and holds leadership positions including Deputy Speaker, Deputy Majority Whip, Chairman of the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee, Vice Chair of the Assembly Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee, and member of the New Jersey Council on Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs.

Notable achievements include authoring laws for veterans' hiring preferences in the New Jersey State Police and civilian jobs in nursing and teaching; combating unemployment insurance fraud by halting payments to incarcerated or deceased individuals; strengthening consumer protections against third-party energy providers; advancing solar and renewable energy initiatives; establishing the Blue Alert and Silver Alert systems; protecting military bases; cracking down on road-rage and auto insurance fraud; and shifting school board elections to November.

A lifelong resident of Hamilton Township with his wife and two daughters, DeAngelo is a prominent labor leader: President of the Mercer/Burlington Counties Building Trades, President of the New Jersey State Mechanical and Allied Crafts Council, Vice President of the Mercer County Central Labor Council, and President/Assistant Business Manager of IBEW Local 269, where he implemented one of New Jersey's first large solar panel systems.
