Biography
Wayne Clark
Wayne Clark is a Republican politician born on February 16, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved to West Virginia in 2003 with his wife, Wendy, and settled in Charles Town, where he has become deeply involved in local governance and business. Clark is a Christian and the owner of Locust Hill Golf Course. He has three adult daughters: Casey, Meghan, and Mattie. Casey has two children, and the twins Meghan and Mattie are seventeen years old.
Education
Clark holds an Associate Degree from the Community College of Baltimore .
Political Experience
Clark began his political career in 2011 when he was elected to the Charles Town City Council, serving until 2015. He was first elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 2020, initially representing District 65 for one term .
In 2022, he transitioned to represent District 99 in the House of Delegates, a position he has held since December 1, 2022, and was re-elected to in 2024. He currently serves on multiple committees, including the Education Committee, Political Subdivisions Committee, and Workforce Development Committee. He also holds leadership roles as Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development and Tourism.
Clark is known for supporting conservative policies, school choice initiatives, child safety protection, and tax reductions. He is also a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America and serves as Director of the First Tee of West Virginia, an organization promoting golf and life skills to youth.
