Biography
Vikki Breese-Iverson is a Republican state representative for Oregon House District 59, which encompasses all of Crook County and parts of Jefferson and Deschutes Counties, including Prineville in Central Oregon. Born in 1973 or 1974, she is a fifth-generation rancher raised on the family ranch in Prineville, where she now lives with her husband Bryan and their two sons, Alex and Brit. She owns and operates multiple small businesses, including a real estate brokerage , a cattle ranch raising bulls, cattle, and hay, her husband's strategy and advertising agency, and a coffee shop/distillery. Notable achievements include serving as House Minority Leader from November 2021 until resigning in fall 2023, where she championed rural Oregon values, slowed controversial legislation, and advocated for stakeholder input during tough sessions. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Housing, Joint Committee on Ways & Means, and Joint Committee on Ways & Means Subcommittee on Natural Resources.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Attended Oregon State University, Central Oregon Community College, and graduated from Crook County High School.
Political Experience: Began her career 20 years ago working in the Oregon Capitol on land use and natural resource issues with Majority Leader Karen Minnis and Senator Ted Ferrioli. Elected to represent District 59; previously served as Oregon House Republican Leader through the 2022 short session and into 2023. Actively represents rural Oregon interests in Salem as a state representative, realtor, and rancher.
