Senator Veronica Klinefelt represents Michigan's 11th Senate District, which includes all of Eastpointe, Fraser, and Roseville, as well as portions of Clinton Township, Macomb Township, Detroit, and parts of Macomb and Wayne Counties. Born January 15, 1964, in Lawrence, Kansas, she has been a 30-year resident of Macomb County and is married to Randy Klinefelt with four children: Brandy, Mike, Emily, and Charlie. Elected to the Michigan State Senate in 2022, she is serving her second session as of 2026, holding leadership positions including Assistant Majority Caucus Chairman, Chair of the Local Government and Veterans and Emergency Services committees, and Vice Chair of Transportation and Infrastructure, Health Policy, and several Appropriations subcommittees. Notable achievements include exposing over $3 million in fraud on the East Detroit School Board leading to nearly 20 FBI indictments, strengthening mental health services and veterans' programs on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, serving as President of the Michigan Association of Counties, and representing Michigan on the National Association of Counties Board of Directors. She champions good government, veterans, seniors, public safety, infrastructure, and education.
