Biography
Vaneta Becker is a Republican state senator representing District 50 in the Indiana Senate, which includes Warrick County and portions of Vanderburgh County. She has served in the Senate since 2005, following 24 years in the Indiana House of Representatives from 1981 to 2005. Professionally, she is a retired real estate broker with F.C. Tucker Emge Realtors in Evansville and holds a real estate license. Becker serves on the Senate Committees on Health and Provider Services, Local Government, and Public Policy, including as Ranking Member of the Public Policy Committee. Notable involvement includes the Indiana Commission for Women, Advisory Board of the Office of Women’s Health , and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Task Force . She is a former member of the ARK Crisis Prevention Nursery Board, Commission for Excellence in Health Care, and Arc of Evansville Board of Directors, and a member of the United Methodist Church. Becker resides in Evansville with her husband, Andy Guarino.
