Biography
Valerie McDonnell is a Republican State Representative serving Rockingham 25 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2022. A Gen Z lawmaker raised in Salem, she attended local schools including Salem High School and is currently attending Southern New Hampshire University. Notable achievements include winning the American Legion Oratorical Contest on the Constitution , receiving a Youth Leadership Award from the National Association of Secretaries of State for promoting civic participation, and judging the contest in recent years. She has spoken at events like Turning Point USA, Harvard University, American Legion Boys State, and Granite Girls State. Key legislative work focuses on education policy, such as expanding school choice, mandating civics courses , and co-sponsoring bipartisan free speech protections for students at public colleges . She supports preserving constitutional liberties and NH's tax-free status.
