Ty Moore is a Republican state representative serving Ohio's 95th House District, which includes all of Harrison, Noble, and Morgan Counties, along with portions of Belmont, Guernsey, and Athens Counties. A lifelong resident of Caldwell, he was appointed to the seat in June 2025 following the resignation of Don Jones and sworn in shortly thereafter. Previously, he served nine years as a Noble County Commissioner, earning recognition for community development and responsive local governance. Moore is co-owner and vice president of R.C. Moore Lumber Company , a third-generation family business in Caldwell. He resides in Caldwell with his wife, Terri, and their two sons, Topper and Townes, and enjoys announcing sports for WMOA Radio, golfing, fishing, and family time.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Bucknell University ; 1987 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball.
