Troy Stubbs is a Republican representative for Alabama House District 31, which covers northern Elmore County including Wetumpka, Eclectic, and parts of Deatsville and Tallassee. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, to a college football coach father and an educator mother, he is a small business owner of Frios Gourmet Pops in Wetumpka, a financial advisor at First Community Bank of Central Alabama, and a former math teacher. He has been married to Jenny, an eighth-generation Elmore County resident, for over 21 years; they have four children and are active in community volunteering, youth sports coaching, and boards like Main Street Wetumpka. Elected unopposed in 2022 after winning the GOP primary, he assumed office on November 9, 2022, succeeding Rep. Mike Holmes; he announced his re-election bid in 2025 as a conservative advocate for capitalism, the Second Amendment, and local education control. Prior to the House, he served two terms on the Elmore County Commission , including as unanimous chair.

• Attended the United States Air Force Academy for three semesters, then served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Petersburg, Russia.
• Earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama.
