Biography
Senator Troy Singleton is a Democrat representing New Jersey's 7th Legislative District, which includes parts of Burlington County such as Beverly, Bordentown, Burlington, Cinnaminson, Delran, Edgewater Park, Florence, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Palmyra, Riverside, Riverton, and Willingboro. He currently serves as Senate Majority Caucus Chair , previously as Majority Whip , Chairman of the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee, Vice Chair of the Senate Economic Growth Committee, and a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He is also the Senate Democratic appointee to the Amistad Commission. Notable achievements include sponsoring the Black Heritage Trail legislation , which established a trail by the New Jersey Historical Commission with $1 million appropriated, and having numerous proposals enacted on affordable housing, job creation, economic development, domestic violence prevention, and education. He has received awards from business, education, civic, labor, and non-profit groups, and was honored as a Rowan University Distinguished Alumnus.

- Education: Earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from Rowan University ; former trustee of Rowan University.
- Early Career: Served as Legislative Director for Assemblymen Herb Conaway and Jack Conners; Deputy Executive Director of the New Jersey General Assembly Majority Office; Chief of Staff to Assembly Speaker Joseph J. Roberts, Jr.; worked for the Assembly Democratic Office , Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters , and Keystone Mountain Lakes Council of Carpenters; member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 255.
- Political Roles: Elected to New Jersey General Assembly for District 7 , representing over 220,000 residents; elected to New Jersey State Senate for District 7 .
- Current Professional Roles: Senior Vice President for Anywhere Integrated Services ; President of Realogy Insurance Agency.
