Troy D. Romero is a Republican who represented Louisiana's 37th House District from January 13, 2020, until his resignation in December 2025. A native of Iowa, Louisiana, he is a businessman, fifth-generation farmer, rancher, and general contractor who owned Sports Turf Specialists, specializing in athletic turf installation. Prior to the House, he served on the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury. He is a devoted husband, father of seven children, and grandfather of 11. Notable achievements include chairing the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development, serving on Appropriations and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, and earning the Family Advocate Award from the Louisiana Family Forum.
