Biography
Trey Sherwood is a Democratic representative for Wyoming House District 14, serving Albany County. An incumbent who won the November 5, 2024 general election, Sherwood is the Minority Caucus Chairman and champions affordable housing, education, natural resource conservation, locally owned businesses, infrastructure, and Wyoming's history and creative economy.
Notable achievements include serving five years in the Wyoming House, co-founding the Laramie Mural Project and Laramie Public Art Coalition, and holding board positions with the Wyoming State Historical Society, Laramie Plains Museum, and as President of the Albany County Historical Society. Sherwood works as a non-profit leader and economic developer, focusing on community collaboration, small businesses, and innovative solutions.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Degree in Public History with minors in English and Photography; 2009 Leadership Wyoming graduate.
- Political Experience: Wyoming House Representative for District 14 ; Minority Caucus Chairman; serves on House Appropriations, Management Audit Committee, Capitol Interpretive Exhibits and Wayfinding Subcommittee, and CSG West - Housing.
- Other Involvement: Active in Trinity Lutheran Church, volunteer with Laramie non-profits, participant in Wyoming Game and Fish’s Becoming an Outdoor Woman program.
