Senator Trey Paradee ** represents Delaware's **17th Senate District, which includes the City of Dover and the towns of Camden and Wyoming. Born William Charles "Trey" Paradee III on July 18, 1969, and raised in Dover, he is a Democrat first elected to the Delaware State Senate in 2018 after serving three terms in the Delaware House of Representatives from 2012 to 2018. Notable achievements include sponsoring campaign finance reform for greater transparency, expanding the Inspire Scholarship for tuition at Delaware State University, chairing the Joint Finance Committee to pass a $5.1 billion state budget, and advocating for gun violence reduction, reproductive rights, environmental protection, and support for educators and working families.
