Biography
Representative Trey Kelley
Trey Kelley is a Republican state representative from Georgia House District 16, representing Cedartown and the surrounding area. His full name is Othel Doyle Kelley III. He grew up in Cedartown, Georgia, and was raised by Doyle and Laura Kelley, both educators in the Polk County School District.
Beyond his legislative work, Kelley has maintained deep community involvement. He has served as president of the Cedartown Exchange Club, vice-chairman of the Board for the Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers, and Polk County chairman of Governor Deal's gubernatorial campaigns in 2010 and 2014. He also served as chairman of the Polk County Republican Party. Professionally, Kelley is employed as an attorney with the Parker & Lundy Law Firm in Cedartown.
Education
Kelley graduated from Shorter University in 2008 and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University College of Law in May 2014.
Political Experience
Kelley was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2012 and was sworn in on January 14, 2013. He has consistently advocated for limited government, lower taxes, and conservative values.
