Biography
Trevor J. Squirrell is a Democrat representing Chittenden-3 in the Vermont House of Representatives, a position he has held since 2017. Born in Ipswich, England, he emigrated to the United States in 1962 with his parents and siblings, growing up in Rochester, New York. He resides in Underhill, Vermont. Notable achievements include serving as Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of Vermont, chairing the Vermont Concussion Task Force and Vermont Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board, co-founding the Nordic Soccer Club in 1988, and presiding over the Vermont Youth Soccer Association for 10 years. He was the primary architect of the Tree Farm Recreational Facility and the Indoor Soccer Center at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction. Squirrell has also been active in local conservation and planning, including as Chair of the Underhill Planning Commission and Underhill Conservation Commission, member of the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, and Trustee of the Jericho Underhill Land Trust.
