Travis Couture is a Republican member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 35th Legislative District , which covers all of Mason County and rural parts of Kitsap and Thurston counties. Born in 1988 or 1989 in Sidney, Montana, he resides in Allyn, Washington, with his wife Julie and their four children. A U.S. Navy veteran honorably discharged in 2011, he served as a submariner on ballistic missile submarines USS Alabama and USS Nebraska, completing multiple strategic deterrence patrols in the Pacific and earning numerous honors. After his military service, he worked as a Program Manager for a Fortune 500 company at Naval Base Kitsap, overseeing billions in assets, and later as Director of Operations for a non-profit serving people with disabilities in Kitsap County, leading over 100 employees. He has over a decade of community involvement in the 35th District and was first elected to the House in 2023.
