Biography
Tracy Sharp is a Republican representing House District 12 in the Montana State Legislature, covering areas including Bigfork and Flathead Lake, with residency in Polson. Elected in 2024, she won the general election by 42% after running unopposed in the primary; 2025 marked her first legislative session. Born in Stanley, Wisconsin, she is 66 years old and previously served as an Air Force Pilot and Strategic Planner at US Africa Command. Her military career included politico-military affairs, treaty negotiations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; attachment to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in the mid-1990s with time in Bosnia on arms reductions; and serving as NATO Representative to the Dayton Accords Article IV talks in Vienna.
