Biography

Tracy Brown-May is a Democratic Assemblymember representing District 42 in the Nevada State Assembly, covering parts of the central Las Vegas Valley west of Interstate 15 and Spring Valley. Appointed to the seat in February 2021 by the Clark County Commission following the resignation of the previous representative, she serves on the Government Affairs, Growth and Infrastructure, and Natural Resources committees. A longtime disability advocate and nonprofit executive, she prioritizes issues like workforce development, housing access, education, healthcare, consumer protections, senior services, and street safety. As Chief Administrative Officer at Opportunity Village—a nonprofit serving people with disabilities—she oversees advocacy, human resources, communications, community engagement, risk management, and family outreach; she has held this role for over 22 years. Notable positions include being a founding member of A Team Nevada , appointed to the Board of Jobs For Nevada’s Graduates in 2023, and serving as Secretary of the national nonprofit Together For Choice. Raised in Ware, Massachusetts, she is a dedicated mother of three adult children all born and raised in Nevada, and enjoys cycling.
