Tony Caplan

Tony Caplan is a Democratic representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack County District 8 since 2020. He resides in Henniker, New Hampshire, with his spouse and three children.

Before his legislative career, Caplan worked as a journalist for the Associated Press and United Press International . He also served as a high school teacher and has been involved in community activities as a youth soccer coach. In his district, he has taken on a leadership role as Chair of the Henniker Energy Committee and has been active with the Henniker Democrats organization.

Education

Caplan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Yale University, which he earned in 1982.
