Tony Bacala , a Republican, represents Louisiana House District 59 . Born in July 1957, he is a retired law enforcement officer married to Lisa with three children: Anthony, Aaron, and Angelica. He resides in Prairieville, Louisiana, and was first elected in 2015, assuming office in January 2016; his current term ends January 10, 2028, following re-election in the 2023 primary.
Notable achievements include serving as Chair of the Ways and Means Committee and Chair of the Capitol Security Council, along with memberships on Appropriations, Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, State Bond Commission, and others.
