Tom Woods is a Republican state senator representing District 4 in the Oklahoma Senate, which includes Adair County and parts of Delaware, Sequoyah, and Cherokee Counties. Elected in 2022, he was sworn into office on November 16, 2022, after defeating rancher Keith Barenberg in a runoff primary. A small business owner, dairy farmer, and rancher from Westville, Oklahoma, Woods operates a feed store, trucking company, and a commercial cow/calf operation with 200 cows. Raised on a dairy farm, he received his first dairy cow at age 12 and built his herd to 30 cows by age 18. He enlisted in the Oklahoma Air National Guard in 2023. Woods serves on key committees including Appropriations , Agriculture and Wildlife, Energy , Economic Development, Workforce and Tourism, and Veterans and Military Affairs , as well as the Joint Legislative Task Force on the Grand River Dam Authority.
