Biography

Tom Tiffany is a Republican representing Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District. He was elected to Congress in May 2020 through a special election. Tiffany has deep roots in his district, having grown up on a dairy farm near Elmwood, Wisconsin.

Prior to his congressional service, Tiffany held significant positions in state government, serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate for the 12th District. In the state legislature, he was a member of the Joint Finance Committee, which oversees the state's budget, and served as chairman of the Senate Committee on Sporting, Heritage, Mining and Forestry. During his tenure in state government, he focused on cutting taxes, increasing job creation, and protecting Second Amendment rights.

Education

Tiffany graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a degree in agricultural economics.

Political Experience

In Congress, Tiffany has focused on legislation affecting American workers and education policy. He has sponsored bills including the "Colleges for the American People Act of 2025," which would require colleges and universities to compete for foreign H-1B visa workers under the program's annual cap.

His stated priorities in Congress include restoring freedom and creating a more prosperous America for the people of Northern and Western Wisconsin.
