Biography
Tom Cormen is a Democratic New Hampshire State Representative for Grafton District 15 , serving his second term since 2022. Born in 1956 in New York City, he is widowed and resides in Lebanon, NH. As an emeritus professor of computer science at Dartmouth College, he brings expertise in science and technology to his role, including service on the Science, Technology and Energy Committee as Deputy Ranking Member. Notable achievements include helping pass three 2024 bills on artificial intelligence and deepfakes, coordinating definitions across committees and shepherding HB 1432 and HB 1596 through the legislature. He also participates in the Granite Bridge Legislative Alliance steering committee to foster bipartisan relationships.
