Thomas F. "Tom" Charlton is a Republican representative for the Windsor-Windham district in the Vermont House of Representatives, which includes towns such as Athens, Chester, Grafton, and Windham. An 8th-generation Vermonter with 50 years of residency in the district, he is an Eagle Scout, ordained Baptist minister, avid outdoorsman, lifetime youth volunteer, and father to three grown sons. He currently runs his own business, emphasizing skills in communication, leadership, and creative problem solving, and is committed to bipartisan dialogue, fiscal restraint, and solutions tailored to Vermont's economy.

Education and Political Experience

Charlton holds three college degrees. A political newcomer, he was elected to represent Windsor-Windham following a 2024 race against Democratic incumbent Heather Chase. He has sponsored legislation such as HCR227, a house concurrent resolution in memory of Alice June Abraham.
