Biography

Todd D. Weiler is a Republican Utah State Senator representing District 8, which includes parts of Davis and Salt Lake Counties. A resident of Woods Cross since 1997, he is married to Elizabeth since 1991 and has four adult children. He serves as Senate Parliamentarian and chairs the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, along with the Joint Interim Committee on Judiciary and the Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee.

Education and Political Experience

Weiler earned business and law degrees from Brigham Young University and practices law at Christensen & Jensen. His public service began in 1999 when elected to the Woods Cross City Council; he later led the Davis County Republican Party and Davis Chamber of Commerce, served on the Lakeview Hospital board, and remains active with United Way of Salt Lake and Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. First elected to the Utah Senate in 2012 , he has focused on economic growth, job creation, reducing regulations, school choice, and protecting Utah values.
