Biography
Todd Rokita, born Theodore Edward Rokita on February 9, 1970, is a Republican politician and lawyer serving as the 44th Attorney General of Indiana since January 2021. He previously represented Indiana's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019 and served two terms as Indiana Secretary of State from 2002 to 2010, becoming the youngest person in the nation to hold that office at the time. Notable achievements include winning the highest number of votes of any state officeholder in Indiana history in 2020, implementing the nation's first photo Voter ID law as Secretary of State , modernizing the Secretary of State's office for efficiency, and serving as President of the National Association of Secretaries of State. He was reelected in 2024, defeating Democrat Destiny Wells with 58.83% of the vote.
