Biography
Todd K. Porter is a Republican representative for District 34 in the North Dakota House of Representatives, serving since 1999. Born on November 17, 1960, in Bismarck, he resides in Mandan with his wife Shirley and their two children. A Catholic, Porter is a paramedic and co-owner of Metro-Area Ambulance Service since 1981, and serves as Patrol Director for Huff Hills Volunteer Ski Patrol since 1993. Notable positions include Chair of the Bismarck/Burleigh 911 Center since 1987, Chair of the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and member of the Finance and Taxation Committee. He has held leadership roles such as former Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Energy Development and Transmission, and is involved in community organizations like Pheasants Forever, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the Bismarck/Mandan Chamber.
