Biography
Todd M. Lakey is a Republican state senator representing District 23 in the Idaho Senate, serving since 2012. Born in Portland, Oregon, he resides in Nampa, Idaho, with his wife Jan and their five children. An attorney at Lakey Villegas Law & Policy, his practice focuses on business and employment law, land use, zoning, real estate, public entity law, administrative law, healthcare, government relations, and contracts. He previously served as a Canyon County deputy prosecuting attorney and Canyon County Commissioner , including as Commission Chairman. Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee, sponsoring SB 1385 , and leadership roles such as President of the Idaho Association of Commissioners and Clerks, Chairman of the Idaho Association of Counties Legislative Committee, and Board Chairman of COMPASS and Valley Regional Transit. He is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran.

Community service includes boards for Idaho Association of Counties, ICRMP, and Idaho Partners Against Domestic Violence; volunteers with Boy Scouts and youth basketball.
