Toby Overdorf is a Republican representative for Florida House District 85, covering Martin and St. Lucie counties. Born on May 6, 1969, in Newport, Rhode Island, he moved to Florida in 1992 and resides in Palm City. He is an environmental consultant, founder and leader of Crossroads Environmental Consultants since 2002, and Environmental Division President at EDC, Inc. He is married to Margaret L. "Maggie" Overdorf, with one daughter, Carleigh Beatus, and identifies as Christian. Notable achievements include strong fundraising for his campaigns, such as raising over $108,000 in a single month, and contributions to the Florida House Republican Campaign Committee. He previously served as President of the Palm City Chamber of Commerce and held leadership roles in Leadership Florida and the St. Lucie County Economic Development Council. His legislative service began with election in 2018, with terms ending in 2026.
