Biography
Timmy Truett is a Republican state representative serving Kentucky's 89th House District, which encompasses Jackson, Lee, and Wolfe counties, as well as parts of Laurel and Madison counties. Born on December 1, 1977, he has represented the district since winning a special election in November 2021 with 77.9% of the vote. He secured re-election in the 2024 Republican primary with 89% and was unopposed in the general election. A Baptist from McKee, Kentucky, Truett serves as principal of McKee Elementary School, owns a pumpkin patch and small business, and has worked as a pastor, coach, and educator. He holds memberships in organizations including the Cattleman's Association, Jackson County Water Board, Kentucky Association of School Administrators , Kentucky Association of Principals of Elementary schools , and ELGIN.

His political service began with the 2021 special election victory, assuming office on November 23, 2021; his current term extends through January 1, 2025, with successful re-election in 2024.
