Biography
Representative Timm Ormsby represents Washington's 3rd Legislative District, which includes parts of Spokane. Born on June 17, 1959, and raised in Spokane, he is a cement mason by trade and a longtime member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons International Association Local 72 since 1990, where he served as past president. He has been business representative for the Northeastern Washington – Northern Idaho Building & Construction Trades Council since 2000. Married to Kim Ormsby, he has three children and four grandchildren. Notable achievements include chairing the House Appropriations Committee, which crafts the state's biennial operating budget; past vice chair of the House Capital Budget Committee; chair of the Select Committee on Pension Policy ; and special appointee to the State Investment Board.
