Biography
Tim Twardzik is a Republican Pennsylvania State Representative serving the 123rd Legislative District, which includes parts of Schuylkill County such as Ashland Borough, Blythe Township, Branch Township, and Butler Township. A Schuylkill County native, he is currently in his third term, having served since 2021. Before politics, he was executive vice president and co-owner of Ateeco Inc., makers of Mrs. T’s Pierogies, growing it into the region’s leading employer after its founding by his father, Ted. He focuses on job creation, small business support, better healthcare, combating community blight, and constituent services.
Notable achievements include introducing the Vacant Property Registration Act to help communities register and revitalize vacant properties, and spearheading Act 11 of 2023 to enforce tobacco companies' commitments under the 2003 Tobacco Product Manufacturer Directory Act Master Settlement Agreement, funding healthcare for smoking-related illnesses and youth education.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School; earned a degree from the University of Notre Dame.
- Political Experience: Elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2020, representing the 123rd District since 2021; serving third term as of latest records. Maintains district offices in Frackville, Schuylkill Haven, Port Carbon, St. Clair, and a Capitol office in Harrisburg.
