Biography
Tim Nangle is a Democratic state senator representing Senate District 26 in Maine, which includes the communities of Casco, Frye Island, Raymond, Windham, and part of Westbrook in Cumberland County. Elected in November 2022, he currently serves in the 131st and 132nd Legislatures and chairs the Transportation Committee while also sitting on the Health and Human Services Committee. Notable achievements include sponsoring a bill signed into law by Gov. Janet Mills on April 3 to formally recognize the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Prior to politics, Nangle worked as a 911 dispatcher, firefighter, and police officer in Boxford, Massachusetts, became a paramedic in 1988, moved to Maine in 1990, and served 27 years as a Medcu Paramedic with the Portland Fire Department before retiring; he also served on the Windham Town Council.
