Tim McGinnis is a Republican representative for District 56 in the South Carolina House of Representatives, serving since 2018. Born on July 4, 1971, in Washington, PA, he is a businessman, former journalist, and restaurant owner married to Michelle with two children, TJ and Erin. Notable positions include chairing the Higher Education Subcommittee of the House Education and Public Works Committee and the Education and Cultural Affairs Subcommittee of the House Legislative Oversight Committee.
